Turning Point (2010)

I created the Flash-based touchscreen interface for the Turning Point machine.  The Turning Point is a machine that measures various degrees of mobility for a user.  Athletic trainers and medical therapists can use the captured data to help users understand where their mobility can be improved.

The system utilizes a client/server system.  On the client side, Flash is used to handle logins for the different users of a machine.  Each account has its own set of data, so trainers and therapists can analyze a user’s historical performance.  It is also used to guide the user into different measurement routines, and also to guide trainers and therapists when they need to set up a routine’s resistances and angular limits.

In order to receive information from the machine, the client creates a TCP connection to a server on the machine that sends measurement data in real time.  The client can display this data on the screen for the user.
